Terms & Conditions of Service

1. Services Overview

Urban Power is an integrated hyperlocal multi-service technology marketplace connecting residents, businesses, and certified professionals across Delhi NCR for:

• Salon & Beauty at Home: Doorstep professional grooming, hair styling, bridal makeup, facials, waxing, and manicures delivered by certified beauticians using single-use branded kits.
• Doorstep Scrap Collection (Kabadiwala): Safe doorstep collection of recyclable materials (paper, metals, plastics, appliances, vehicles) weighed on certified ISO digital scales with live wholesale index pricing and instant UPI/cash settlement.
• Beauty Academy & Courses: Certified vocational masterclasses, bridal diploma programs, and self-grooming certification courses.
• Grocery & Daily Essentials: Superfast doorstep delivery of fresh flour, staples, and daily packaged FMCG items.
• Home Maintenance & Technical Repairs: AC high-pressure jet cleaning, electrical wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.

2. User Eligibility & Account Registration

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into binding contracts under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
• Register with an authentic 10-digit Indian mobile number and verify ownership via One-Time Password (Fast2SMS OTP).
• Provide true, accurate, and complete location and address details for doorstep service execution.
• Maintain the security of your device and login credentials; you remain responsible for all activities conducted through your verified mobile account.

3. Doorstep Scrap Collection & Digital Scale Weighing Policy

Urban Power operates a 100% transparent circular economy recycling program under the following rules:

• Certified Digital Weighing: All scrap collection partners must use government-calibrated digital electronic weighing machines. The customer has the absolute right to view the live weight readout.
• Market-Linked Rates: Live scrap buying and selling rates published on the mobile app and website reflect Delhi NCR wholesale indices and are confirmed prior to pickup.
• Instant Settlement: Cash or instant UPI transfers (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM) will be issued directly to the customer on the spot upon weight confirmation.
• Prohibited Materials: Urban Power strictly prohibits the handover of hazardous chemicals, explosive materials, stolen property, radioactive items, or contraband. The partner reserves the right to inspect and decline hazardous or illicit items.

4. Salon at Home & Hygiene Protocols

Our beauty and salon services are delivered under stringent hygiene guidelines:

• All beauticians utilize sealed, single-use disposable kits, disinfected tools, and branded cosmetics.
• Customers must disclose any known skin allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions prior to treatment commencement.
• Urban Power professionals reserve the right to decline service in environments deemed unsafe, abusive, or unsuitable for sanitary operations.

5. B2B Dealers & Partner Registration

Dealers, scrap warehouse owners, beauticians, and technicians registering through the Urban Power Partner Portal agree to:

• Provide authentic identification (Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN where applicable) and undergo mandatory police background verification.
• Honor confirmed customer appointments and maintain zero tolerance for weighing discrepancies or unauthorized offline fee collection.
• Comply with municipal waste management guidelines and environmental regulations issued by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC).

6. Pricing, Payments & Invoicing

All prices listed on the platform are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless otherwise explicitly specified. Payment may be completed via UPI, Credit/Debit Cards, Net Banking, or Cash-on-Delivery (COD). Digital tax invoices are generated automatically inside the app upon service completion.

7. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy

We believe in absolute customer convenience:

• Free Cancellation: Customers may cancel or reschedule a service request without penalty up to 30 minutes before the scheduled time slot.
• Partner Non-Arrival: If an assigned pro or pickup partner fails to arrive within the designated arrival window, customers are entitled to a full refund and a convenience compensation credit.
• Refund Processing: Approved refunds for pre-paid online transactions are credited back to the original source payment method within 3 to 5 banking business days.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

All trademarks, logos, brand names ("Urban Power", "RJ Urbanpower"), service names, graphic designs, icons, algorithms, and website source code are the exclusive intellectual property of RJ Urbanpower Pvt Ltd. Unauthorized copying, reverse engineering, scraping, or commercial exploitation without written consent is strictly prohibited.

9. Limitation of Liability

While Urban Power conducts rigorous vetting of all personnel and partners, Urban Power shall not be held liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from user misuse of products or force majeure circumstances beyond reasonable control. In all cases, Urban Power's aggregate liability is strictly limited to the transaction fee paid for the specific service booking.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed exclusively by the laws of the Republic of India. Any legal dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent civil courts situated in New Delhi, India.
